Regional

focus

Our geographical focus is on the two largest Austrian industrial clusters around Vienna and Linz. These regions offer high market density, good accessibility, and attractive access to medium-sized companies in relevant target segments.

Our regional proximity is a strategic advantage. It enables close operational support, short communication channels in crucial phases, and collaboration on equal terms with entrepreneurs, management teams, and regional consultants.

What we
seek

Company size

Wir fokussieren uns in der Regel auf Unternehmen mit 5 bis 50 Millionen Euro Jahresumsatz und einem EBITDA von 0 bis 5 Millionen Euro. In besonderen Turnaround-, Restrukturierungs- oder Insolvenzsituationen prüfen wir auch abweichende Konstellationen.

Profitability

We consider companies with EBITDA margins ranging from negative to approximately 10 percent, provided there is a viable development potential.

Participation structure

We are flexible in our structuring and invest in majority stakes, joint ventures, or arrangements with a remaining seller stake. Generally, we prefer majority solutions up to 100% ownership.

Typische Transaktionsanlässe sind Nachfolgelösungen, Carve-outs, Management-Buyouts, Sondersituationen sowie Konstellationen mit ausscheidenden Eigentümern.

Industries

AVITAS is generally open to all industries, but has particular expertise in manufacturing, related sectors, and business services. Fragmented, growing markets with consolidation and development potential are especially attractive.

Flexible succession and investment solutions

Not every business transfer follows a standard model. Therefore, AVITAS develops individual transaction structures – from majority acquisitions to partnership solutions with a remaining stake for the seller – tailored to the company's initial situation and the shareholders' objectives.

Our approach

1 / Akquisition

We identify attractive long-term investment opportunities and analyze the respective initial situation in detail. During due diligence, we develop a company-specific approach and involve functional experts as needed.

2 / Transformation

Following the acquisition, we work closely with management and the organization to implement a clearly prioritized transformation plan. This includes project management, operational leadership, change management, and the systematic improvement of key performance areas.

3 / Growth

In the next step, we will strengthen our market position, sales performance, and operational structures. Additional growth impetus will arise from new product and customer segments, as well as synergies with further platform or add-on investments.

4 / Exit & Hold

When a company has successfully transformed and is positioned for a stable future, we support an orderly handover to a suitable owner. The focus is on continuing successful development, which means that an exit is not mandatory; we can also remain involved as a long-term investor.
